1. We had the absolute pleasure of getting married at L’Espace Canal a few days ago, and truly, we wouldn’t have changed a thing! From start to finish, the entire team made our wedding unforgettable. Our coordinator, Alexandra, guided us throughout the entire year. She answered every question quickly, supported us through each detail, and made the planning process feel easy and reassuring. On the day of the wedding, we had Cléa coordinating , and she was incredible. Her energy, kindness, and calm confidence made the whole day run flawlessly. She set everything up beautifully, kept everything on track, and was so collaborative and lovely to work with. Tony, your service was exceptional! You checked on us throughout the night, made sure we were always taken care of, and added such a thoughtful touch to the evening. DJ Big Daddy, thank you for keeping the dance floor packed!! Your energy was incredible! To the rest of the staff: Jonathan, Linda, Rohin, Marcos, Natalia, and Victoria , thank you!! Every single one of you was friendly, attentive, and provided amazing service. L’Espace Canal gave us the wedding of our dreams. We are so grateful for the entire team and would recommend this venue wholeheartedly.
2. Nous avons célébré notre mariage à l’Ambroisie ce weekend. Nous avons pu élaborer un menu à notre image avec l’aide du chef. Le repas a été très apprécié par nos invités. Le dj qui nous a été assigné par l’agence était EXCELLENT! Il a su mettre une ambiance de feu toute la soirée. Il y a eu de la pluie, donc la cérémonie a eu lieu à l’intérieur. On nous a remboursé les frais pour la cérémonie au jardin super rapidement, et le plan B intérieur fut un très beau moment. Nous avons planifié le tout dans la dernière année avec Alexandra, qui a été très disponible, aidante et sympathique. Malheureusement, nous avons eu une autre coordonnatrice pour le jour J, Jaimes Seguin, que nous n’avons jamais pu rencontrer avant le mariage. Elle a dû s’absenter à la rencontre prévue la veille avec très peu de préavis, et le jour du mariage, elle nous a semblé désorganisée et stressée. Nous avons eu de la difficulté à la trouver à plusieurs reprises pendant la soirée, ce qui a ajouté du stress à une journée où nous avions besoin d’être guidés. À la suite de notre avis, Mme Seguin a pris le temps de communiquer avec nous pour nous présenter ses excuses, un geste que nous avons apprécié. L’ensemble des autres personnes avec qui nous avons collaboré ont été exceptionnels : Cléa, Amber, Stuart (le chef), Rohan, le cuisinier dont le prénom m’échappe.. ❤️ Merci beaucoup!
3. Nous avons célébré notre mariage à ce magnifique endroit la semaine dernière, et l’expérience a été tout simplement magique. La cérémonie dans les jardins était absolument féerique. Le site est magnifique, parfaitement entretenu et offre un décor exceptionnel pour une journée aussi importante. L’un des aspects qui nous a le plus impressionnés a été la qualité de la nourriture. Il est rare d’assister à un mariage où le repas est aussi délicieux. Tous les plats étaient excellents, et plusieurs de nos invités nous en parlent encore aujourd’hui. Nous souhaitons également remercier Jaime et Tony, qui étaient présents le jour de notre mariage. Leur professionnalisme, leur efficacité et leur présence rassurante ont contribué au bon déroulement de la journée et nous ont permis de profiter pleinement de chaque moment. Ils ont joué un rôle important dans le succès de notre mariage. Les seuls points négatifs concerne le DJ, dont les services sont imposés par le lieu. Malheureusement, il s’est montré plutôt impoli et a joué la mauvaise version de notre chanson de première danse, malgré les informations précises qui lui avaient été transmises à l’avance. C’était décevant pour un moment aussi significatif. Malgré cela, nous gardons un souvenir extraordinaire de notre mariage. Entre le cadre enchanteur, la qualité exceptionnelle du repas et le soutien de Jaime et Tony, cette journée restera inoubliable. Nous recommandons ce lieu sans hésitation. Merci beaucoup!!!!
4. We had our wedding just over a week ago for about 85 guests and it was truly a great experience. From nearly the very start we had Clea take over the coordination of our wedding - super friendly, speedy responses to our many questions, great organization all the way, reminders for deadlines, SUPER accommodating to all of our requests. HIGHLY recommend her, we are forever grateful to her for making this as smooth as it possibly could have been. The food and staff were excellent! No complaints from any of my guests about the food nor the wait staff! The bar man was AMAZING and so so kind!! Every time my husband or I came up to the bar he was very attentive to our needs. Truly made a difference to have a friendly and smiley face behind the bar! To the kitchen staff/waiting staff, everything came out with great timing and was truly excellent! Generous portions, great taste, perfect temperatures, smiling faces - all in all the kitchen/wait staff truly impressed us! The DJ was also excellent, on the spot thinking for transitions between our first dance and the second father/daughter, mother/son dance (due to a day-of change of plans). Music was great! Everyone was really impressed with the song choices that made us all sing-along and dance the night away! No notes (pun intended)! Overall the experience was great, the only down side was one staff member who I believe might have been in charge of the staff and ensuring the evening went according to plan. She was very friendly but throughout the evening came to me about 'potential' issues that never came to fruition and put a damper on my evening at multiple occasions. The most frustrating one for me was right after cutting my wedding cake, she came to tell me that the TWO cakes that were to be served to my guests (serving 110 total guests) MIGHT not be enough to serve my 85 guests. This was a shock to me as I expected we would be able to offer some to the staff but none-the-less, I told her if need be we can serve the wedding cake, which did not end up happening. By the end of the evening I had TWO full cakes to bring home - my wedding cake AND the smaller cake that was to be served to my guests (minimum 20 people) that had not even been opened or cut into. When she told me it was the full cake I offered that she should take some for the staff and she told me "oh no - we already had some" which I proceeded to say "Are you sure? Did you take enough? You can take more" and she replied "oh no - we've had MORE than enough". After some reflection I really would suggest that this individual should be more conscious about bringing up potential problems to the bride and/or groom because this put an unnecessary damper on an important moment in the evening, and it was all for nothing. I understand being cautious but in these events it is important to think before acting and maybe taking a moment to reflect whether it truly is a problem and should be flagged or wait and see what would happen without having to worry the bride and groom about a problem that is not a problem. Additionally, while we were all having fun on the dance floor, she pulled me over to let me know one of my guests should "drink some water and slow down on the alcohol" I was just trying to enjoy my evening so I went to said guest (my husbands brother) and let him know (he is a father of three and was just enjoying the evening to let loose which he never can) and this caused a big commotion and finished with him and his wife leaving the wedding early. When I asked if he had done anything she told me "no, we just want to avoid getting to the point that something would happen". I understand this, but once again it put a damper on our evening for a 'potential problem' that never ended up being a problem. It is a wedding, people let loose and get drunk - if this is to be avoided maybe they should consider putting a limit on the bar or consumptions per individual but I think that might affect some bookings. Overall, the evening was great despite the small dampers and highly recommend L'Ambroisie!
5. I can not recommend this venue enough for a wedding!! We were married July 2025 and we had Alexandra as our coordinator. She is AMAZING! She is incredibly efficient at her job and making you feel as ease on your big day. Venue - beautiful and perfect for a hot summer wedding. Spacious outdoor patio and beautiful and air conditioned space indoors. If you can, get married outside at the gazebo. It makes for such a special ceremony. Bar - the bartenders here always so incredibly nice. We had been guests at this venue before, and each and every time the staff is on-it and personable. The drinks were also so tasty. Opt for the premium bar if you can, it does not disappoint. Food - we opted for a BBQ to allow for more mingle time, best decision we ever made. Also, the food was even better than the tasting (which was delicious). The owner manned the BBQ in his cowboy hat and brought his homemade horseradish sauce for the steaks. Decorations/Lights - you NEED the lights, they absolutely added to the ambiance and made any indoor pictures way cuter. They are ~$800, but if there is a wedding/event the day before or day after, you can ask to share the cost (saving you almost half the cost). DJ/Music - Our only "meh" experience was with the company who is hired to do the music. My husband put together a long and comprehensive email and several playlists for the DJ to riff off of (pre dinner, post dinner, opening up the dance floor, last hour of the party etc.), but the coordinator for the AV team never sent the DJ our email so we had to send it night of after listening to several super cheesy songs. We are very picky when it comes to music, so we had to insist to sticking to the playlist vibes. Once that was taken care of, we proceeded to dance the night away. TLDR: best venue, best staff, and one of the most affordable places in Montreal to hold a wedding.
6. Ma femme et moi sommes allés souper là pour la Saint-Valentin et nous avons été plus que satisfaits par la qualité de la nourriture ainsi que la belle présentation de celle-ci. Ce fut une belle soirée avec une ambiance bien adaptée pour l'occasion !
7. I simply do not know where to start my review. Our wedding surpassed our own expectations, and the team at L'Ambroisie was such a delight to work with. The day went so smoothly with no hiccups from their end. The service was out of this world. We had 70 guests, and the food came out properly and on time. The taste of the food was simply WOW. Our guests raved about the steak and the halibut risotto, and my wife absolutely loved the oysters, especially the Rockefeller oysters. Everything tasted incredible. Like they say, it takes a village to pull off a wedding, and that is very accurate. I want to call out the following people who made our day so magical and beautiful: Marie-France – Bar mastermind Service Team: Rohan, Amber, Jonathan Behind the Scenes Team: Dallas, Sebastien, Gordon (sous-chef), Stuart (Chef), John, and all the cooks and dishwashers who made the food amazing Alexandra – Coordinator, point of contact and the person that had a key role in make our night magical from preparation, planning and navigating all our needy requests and finding a way to get them accepted by the owner. They are such a delight to work with and so flexible and understanding. They were accommodating with many aspects of our planning, including allowing us to bring some of our own items, which we truly appreciated. I loved all our interactions from the initial conversation to the execution of the day. They worked tirelessly to make everything go smoothly, and as with every wedding, there were unplanned moments. One example that truly stood out was when our arch vendor's partner couldn't make it. Without hesitation, the L'Ambroisie team jumped in to help mount the arch outside in -35 degree weather with freezing cold hands. Their willingness to go above and beyond, even outside their usual responsibilities, meant the world to us. I would highly recommend L'Ambroisie to anyone planning their special day. You will be in excellent hands. THANK YOU for making our day beautiful and for all your work and effort. You are all such wonderful human beings with big hearts.
8. I had my wedding here and it was incredible! The staff is so helpful on the day of, you feel like a guest at your own wedding! And i didnt even have a wedding planner! The food was delicious and all my guests said so. Even with a mishap with communication with the DJ, the music was great and the night was unforgettable. Ambroisie is so gorgeous, it really is a beautiful place for a wedding. Thank you to Tony, Jaime, Alexandra, and all the wait staff for making my wedding incredible.
9. Je suis allée à un party de Noël du travail le samedi 07/12 et c'était vraiment agréable. Au menu, il y avait deux plats : du saumon ou du bœuf. La salle était chic et parfaite pour l'événement, et l'ambiance était très plaisante. Le service durant le repas était efficace et tout le personnel était souriant et accueillant. Le barman était professionnel et préparait des cocktails délicieux, même pour quelqu'un qui ne consomme pas d'alcool :). En somme, une expérience très positive !
10. J'ai photographié une réception de mariage du côté de L'Ambroisie en mai 2022. Mes mariés ont également fait leur cérémonie sur place, dans les jardins. C'est un lieu facile d'accès avec un très grand stationnement, ce qui est bien pratique (et rare) à Montréal. Le décor sur place et aux alentours laisse plein de possibilités pour les photos, peu importe le moment de la journée/soirée: on aime ça! Le repas était excellent. Ça a été une très belle expérience! Au plaisir de revenir chez vous! :)
